VMH Edinburgh staff focus: Caron Henderson

Here at VMH Edinburgh we love hearing all about you, but we thought we’d put together a little questionnaire so that you can get to know us better. Introducing our first team member of this series: Caron Henderson.

What is your role at VMH Solicitors?

My name is Caron Henderson and I’m one of VMH’s Senior Legal Executives. I’ve been in the business for over 25 years and have been conveyancing for over 20 of these years. I was one of the first to participate in and pass the Paralegal Conveyancing Diploma way back when!

Tell us a little bit about your family.

I have two beautiful daughters, Sarah (34) and Kiri (31).  I also have two delightful grandchildren, Findley (14) and Bonnie (4) – they are my life.

What is your favourite line from a movie?

Nobody puts baby in the corner.  I don’t need to say which movie and I wont say why 😉

Best vacation you’ve been on?

Anybody who knows me will confirm I just love to holiday, so there have been lots. But I love The Gold Coast particularly the Great Barrier Reef and Goa in India.

Do you have a favourite quote?

I have a couple. The first being ‘you only live once’ again anyone who knows me will vouch that that is how I live my life. The second is ‘what’s fir ye won’t go past ye’ I am a big believer in Karma!

If you were an animal what would you be?

Definitely a big cat of some sort!

What did you want to be when growing up?

Growing up I wanted to be police officer or a hairdresser (in fact, these could probably pass for things people don’t know about me).

What do you like most about your job?

Well believe it or not, the stress. I seem to thrive on it!

What do you like to do on your days off?

I love to eat good food, love to holiday as often as I can and just pretty much what I want to do when I want to do it.

What is the first concert you attended?

Bay City Rollers, back in the 60’s!!  I was just a young child though.

What kind of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?

I love to cook. I find it very therapeutic after a stressful day at work.

Where is your favourite place to eat?

At the moment I’d say the Gardener’s Cottage on London Road and Dubh Prais on the high street.  My partner’s a bit of a chef though so I also have to say at my house.

What is your favourite thing to do in the wonderful city of Edinburgh?

I love everything about just being here. I’ve been all over the world and nothing quite touches your heart like the feeling of home.

Watch this space as we get to know the whole team! If you’re looking to buy or sell a home in Edinburgh get in touch with Caron Henderson here.
